(New Delhi)- People with hair loss are advised to apply various oils, but now a dermatologist has revealed the opposite. According to the website 'healthshots.com', Dr. Manjol Agarwal, an expert, says that massaging oil during hair loss can cause back injuries and promote hair loss instead of reduction. Therefore, massage of the scalp should be avoided in such cases. Dr Manjol Agarwal, senior consultant at the skin department at Forties Hospital in New Delhi, said: "We have about 100,000 hairs on our head and each hair has its own way of producing oil. This oil produces glands called 'sebaceous'. This oil is enough for hair and scalp; so- It is not recommended to apply extra oil to the scalp. On the other hand, applying oil to the scalp increases dryness, which in turn increases hair loss. Second, these excess oils prevent the growth of glands in the oil-producing skin. This can lead to hair follicles called folliculitis. "People should apply oil to their hair instead of rubbing their scalp. This softens the hair and makes it weaker."
