Javed Miandad said that he used to leave every good innings of his career in the past and look to the future and try to learn from his mistakes and perform well in the next match. He added that he was happy. He is fortunate to have the best players of his time, who have always supported and encouraged him. He is also grateful to the people of Pakistan for giving him such encouragement in his career.

Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Executive Faisal Hasnain said that on behalf of the Pakistan Cricket Board, they formally congratulate Javed Miandad on joining the PCB Hall of Fame. It is an acknowledgment of his immense service to cricket.

Javed Miandad represented Pakistan from 1975-1996 and during that time he scored 16,213 runs in 357 international matches with the help of 31 centuries. In his domestic career from 1973-74 to 1993-94, Miandad scored 80 centuries and 139 half-centuries, where he scored 28,663 runs.

Javed Miandad played the 1975 World Cup at the age of 18 and then won the 1992 World Cup in Australia under the leadership of Imran Khan. He represented Pakistan in five World Cups.
