New Delhi: A case has been registered against 10 female students protesting against hijab ban in Karnataka.

According to Indian media, a case has been registered against 10 female hijab students of a government college in Karnataka for protesting against their entry into the college.

The case of female students against the ban on hijab in Karnataka is being heard in the Karnataka High Court. A Karnataka court has temporarily banned the wearing of hijab in educational institutions till the verdict of the case, taking the stand of Hindu extremists.

Hijab students are not allowed to attend classes in Karnataka's schools and colleges. Apart from Karnataka, other states in India are also campaigning against hijab.
