PSL became the highest paid league in the world for players, salaries so high that even IPL left behind

LAHORE  - Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Rameez Raja was angry with Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises meeting last month for not listening to him and the court on dollar rate and other issues. Had decided to approach PSL and now once again news has come that the franchisees are unhappy with the PCB and this time the reason for their displeasure is the salary limit of the players playing PSL.

According to the website Pro Pakistani, the PSL franchisees say that the salary limit of the players has been kept very high by the PCB, it should be reduced a bit so that the franchisees can ease some of their financial obligations. The franchises had requested the PCB that PSL is already the highest paid league in the world for players so it should be reduced, however, according to sources, the PCB rejected their request. This is because the PCB believes that higher pay will attract the best international players to the PSL, so it will not be reduced.

It should be noted that the PCB has decided to increase the salary limit of players for PSL 7 to 12 1.2 million. In the previous editions, the salary limit was سا 900,000. This increase in the salary limit has added to the financial burden on the franchisees, on which the owners of all the six franchises had also requested financial assistance from the PCB. The seventh edition of the PSL is expected to begin in the last week of January next year.
