The national captain completed the fastest 2000 T20 runs in the 52nd innings of his career, the milestone was crossed by the Indian captain in the 56th innings.

Babar Azam finished the quickest 2000 runs in T20 Internationals. Babar Azam crossed the 2,000-run milestone in the 52nd innings of his career while Virat Kohli completed 2,000 T20 internationals in 56 innings.

Babar Azam is the third Pakistani cricketer to score 2000 runs in T20 Internationals. Earlier, Muhammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik have also scored 2000 T20 runs. Australia's Aaron Finch completed 62, former Kiwi captain Brendon McCullum 66 and Kiwi opener Martin Guptill completed 2000 T20 runs in 68 innings. Babar Azam is the eleventh batsman in the world to score 2000 runs in T20 International matches.
